STORY PRODUCING
Cicely Hadman has over a decade of experience sculpting story in television drama and feature, both as a production story producer and a development producer. She is also experienced in staffing and running writers rooms. Her credits include Riot Women, Killing Eve, Renegade Nell and the BAFTA-nominated final season of Happy Valley. She began her career in script development and led the development slate at Warp Films for several years, nurturing bold, original voices across film and television. Cicely has collaborated with a wide range of writers including Jack Thorne, Laura Neal, Georgia Christou, Kayleigh Llewellyn, Sally Wainwright, Archie Maddocks, Dominic Treadwell-Collins and Tony Schumacher. She has worked on projects for Apple TV, Disney +, BBC, AMC, C4, SKY and Britbox. She has collaborated with production companies in the UK and abroad: Happy Prince, Avalon, Lookout Point, Drama Republic, Rise Films, Buccaneer Media, Expectation Entertainment, Leopard TV, Sid Gentle and Pantaleon Films. Cicely is based in London, UK.


Cicely is passionate about character-led projects. All her work aspires to be intimate and inventive. She centres queer narratives.
She is always looking to tell stories that move your soul a little bit.
DIRECTING
In 2023 Cicely completed the NFTS Directors Series course, supported by ScreenSkills, and in 2024 she was shadow director on Sally Wainwright’s Riot Women for BBC/Britbox, again with the support of ScreenSkills' Make a Move scheme.
In 2025 Cicely won The Listening Pitch international short documentary commission supported by Aesthetica x Audible. Her move into documentary is inspired by curiosity, emotional truth, and a desire to connect.
